  • 2021 Lexus UX, NX and RX Crafted Edition price and specs detailed
  • Black exterior styling and longer standard kit lists headline changes
  • UX Crafted Edition new for 2021, while the limited-edition badge returns to the NX and RX
  • Pricing ranges from $55,075 to $86,136

The Crafted Edition models – with 2021 the first time the badge has been applied to the UX small SUV, with the NX mid-size and RX large SUVs wearing it in recent years – add a wider roster of standard features over their standard counterparts, along with dark-themed "aesthetic enhancements" both inside and out.

Standard on the Crafted Editions is the Japanese brand's Lexus Encore Platinum benefits program, which gives owners access to Lexus loan cars at airports and dealers around Australia, and valet parking vouchers valid at a number of Westfield shopping centres around the country, along with Melbourne's Chadstone Shopping Centre.

2021 Lexus UX200 Crafted Edition

Priced from $55,075 before on-road costs, the UX200 Crafted Edition (above and below) is based on the Luxury with Enhancement Pack 2 (EP2) grade, and adds dark chrome grille accents, black 18-inch alloy wheels, and a black finish for the headlight surrounds, grille, side marker lights, mirror caps and roof rails.

There's also a unique black and blue interior colour scheme with light grey stitching, smart keycard entry, puddle lamp projection, a head-up display and a large moonroof.

Aside from the aforementioned additions, the regular UX 200 Luxury with EP2's standard equipment carries over, including a 10.3-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite navigation, heated power-adjustable front seats, an electric tailgate, wireless smartphone charging and climate control.

Standard safety features include Lexus's full suite of 'Safety System+' technologies, including autonomous emergency braking with day/night pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-following assist, automatic high-beam, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The standard car's engine and transmission also carry over, a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol four-cylinder sending 126kW to the front wheels through a CVT automatic.

2021 Lexus NX Crafted Edition

Based on the Luxury trim grade, the Lexus NX Crafted Edition (above) can be had with a choice of four engines and drivetrain configurations: a 175kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder in the NX300, or a 147kW 2.5-litre 'self-charging' hybrid system in the NX300h, both available with a choice of front- or all-wheel-drive.

Pricing for all models can be found at the bottom of the story.

Key Crafted Edition additions over NX Luxury models include black finishes for the grille, grille moulding and mirror caps, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, illuminated sill plates, a smart keycard-based entry system, a 360-degree camera and a moonroof.

Standard features carried over from the Luxury include a 10.3-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, a 10-speaker sound system, power-adjustable heated front seats, LED headlights and more.

The full Lexus Safety System+ suite of active technologies – shared with the UX – also features, including autonomous emergency braking with day/night pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane centering assist, auto high-beam, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Available in five-seat, front-wheel-drive RX300 Luxury or all-wheel-drive RX350 Luxury configurations, the RX Crafted Edition models (above) add a black grille, black grille moulding, black mirror caps, a moonroof and courtesy lamps, with the RX300 Crafted Edition gaining the RX350's standard 20-inch alloy wheels.

Other standard features carried over from their Luxury-spec donors include a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice control and satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker premium sound system, power-adjustable front seats and steer gin column and a hands-free electric tailgate.

There's also wireless phone charging, keyless entry, push-button start and the full Lexus Safety System+ suite, as detailed above.

The RX300 powertrain comprises a 175kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder, while the RX350 features a 221kW/370Nm 3.5-litre petrol V6. The former employs a six-speed automatic transmission, while the latter uses an eight-speed gearbox.
