Sebastian Vettel puts Ferrari collection up for sale
After a tumultuous season with the Prancing Horse, the four-time F1 champion is selling his collection of rare Ferrari supercars.
Former Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel has offered his Ferrari collection for sale, as he ends a turbulent relationship with the Ferrari F1 team.
The decision to offload his extensive collection – which includes a number of very rare Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW models – was announced by exotic car dealer Tom Hartley Junior on social media.
Included in the sale are a 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari, a 2004 Ferrari Enzo, and a 1996 Ferrari F50 – some of the most desirable flagship products from the Prancing Horse in recent memory.
The German F1 driver is also selling his 2016 Ferrari F12tdf, 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale, a 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black, 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, and a 2002 BMW Z8.
Vettel's relationship with the Ferrari F1 team soured over the 2020 season, as the four-time champion was the victim of team strategy calls designed to elevate his teammate Charles Leclerc, as well as his own poor performance on track.
With his Ferrari collection going up for sale, it appears Vettel's lifelong love affair with the Italian supercar maker might have ended.
Vettel will drive for the newly-branded Aston Martin F1 Team in the 2021 season.
