2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport S price and specs: New entry-level model wears $10,000 lower price tag

Pricing and specification details for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport S have been announced, ahead of first deliveries later in February 2021.

  • 2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport S price and specs detailed
  • $10,000 lower starting price for base Gladiator ute
  • 17-inch wheels, LED lights, 7.0-inch infotainment headline spec sheet
  • 209kW 3.6-litre V6 retained, with eight-speed auto

First announced in 2020, the Gladiator Sport S slots into the Jeep ute's local line-up as an entry-level price leader, starting from $65,450 before on-road costs – $10,000 less than the next most affordable model, the mid-spec $75,450 Overland.

Standard equipment on the Sport S includes a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.0-inch digital instrument display, black cloth seats, 17-inch silver aluminium wheels, automatic LED headlights, tail-lights, daytime-running lights and fog lights, dual-zone climate control, a black three-piece 'Freedom' hard-top roof and black fender flares.

There's also a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system, a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry, push-button start and a suite of active safety features including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

For reference, for its $10,000 price saving, the Sport S loses the Overland's larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation, leather trim, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, remote start from the key fob, body-coloured hard-top roof and fender flares, and more.

Shared with the rest of the range is the powertrain: a 209kW/347Nm 3.6-litre naturally-aspirated petrol V6, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
