2021 McLaren 765LT touches down in Australia
McLaren's highest-performance 'super series' offering to start from $609,650 before on-roads.
The limited-edition 2021 McLaren 765LT is now available in Australia.
Locals can order from a global production pool of just 765 examples, with prices to start from $609,650 before on-roads.
The McLaren 765LT is the brand's most-expensive 'super series' offering, and continues the theme on limited-edition 'Longtail' variants.
The term Longtail comes from McLaren's past, where it created a version of its now-iconic F1 supercar with an extra-long overhang to help improve aerodynamics when racing.
Performance figures of the 765LT are staggering – 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0-200km/h in 7.0 seconds, and covering a standing quarter mile in 9.9 seconds.
The Longtail uses McLaren's 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which now produces 563kW and 800Nm.
"The ‘Longtail’ lineage is a very special one within the McLaren brand and we are delighted to welcome the 765LT to Australia," said McLaren Asia pacific and China managing director, George Biggs.
"With only 765 units available, the 765LT will deliver an immersive sensory experience with the purest possible connection between driver and car."
