2021 McLaren Artura to debut February 17

Next-gen hybrid supercar to be revealed in a few weeks' time.

The 2021 McLaren Artura will be unveiled on 17 February 2021, an invite sent to some of the brand's Chinese customers has confirmed.

An RSVP invite distributed to customers by McLaren's Guangzhou showroom – and subsequently reposted on Spanish forum Cochespias – confirms the next-generation hybrid supercar will make its full debut on February 17, local time.

The week of February 15 to 19 promises to be a busy one for supercar fans, with the new, 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 rumoured to be unveiled mid-week, possibly on the same day as the Artura.

First teased in October and November 2020, the Artura will be the British brand's first series-production hybrid model, and is expected to replace the outgoing Sports Series line of cars, comprising the 540C, 570S, 570GT, 600LT and 620R.

Power is will come courtesy of a new twin-turbocharged V6 engine, paired with an electric motor for expected outputs upwards of 447kW (600bhp). For more details on the Artura's expected powertrain, styling and chassis, read our original teaser story here.
