2021 Iveco Daily price and specs: Updated truck and van released

Load-lugging vans and trucks updated, with four-wheel drive variants yet to come.

  • 2021 Iveco Daily range updated
  • Available as a van or truck, with a choice of three engine options
  • Four-wheel drive version also offered
  • Priced from $58,700 plus on-road costs

The 2021 Iveco Daily range has been released, coming with a range of improvements across specifications and technology for both vans and trucks.

Like before, the Daily is available as either a van or cab-chassis truck, with Iveco offering a variety of body styles and sizes.

All variants get new Euro 6-complaint turbo diesel engines, which uses Selective Catalytic Reduction, also known as AdBlue, to keep tailpipe emissions down.

Depending on specification, the 2021 Daily has either a 2.3-litre with 100kW/350Nm, or a 3.0-litre engine, which makes either 132kW/430Nm or 155kW/470Nm.

Both options are available with either a six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission, which powers the rear wheels. A four-wheel-drive powertrain will also be joining the range soon.

The 2021 Daily range gets a raft of added chassis electronics and safety equipment, with a solid offering of standard kit: four SRS airbags, Anti-Lock Brakes, Electronic Brake- force Distribution, Electronic Stability Program, Anti-Slip Regulator, Drag Torque Control, Hill Hold Control, Enhanced Under-Steering Control, Adaptive Load Control, Trailer Sway Mitigation, Hydraulic Rear-wheel Boost, Hydraulic Fading Compensation, Roll Movement Intervention and Roll Over Mitigation.

Additional safety and driving equipment can be optioned in, also: Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), full LED headlamps, Hill Decent Control, City Brake, Queue Assist and Traction Plus which are available as either stand-alone options or as part of ‘Pack’ option upgrades.

For those with cold goods on-board, a new ‘run-lock’ function allows the Daily to be left running and locked up, necessary for running power-hungry accessories like refrigeration.

On the inside, the 2021 Daily gets a new ‘Hi-Connect’ infotainment system that includes Apple Carplay and Android Auto, along with TomTom navigation.

This is complemented by inductive phone charging and a new TFT multifunction display in the driver, which is purported to have ‘over 100 points of information’.

The 2021 Daily also gets a dash-mounted electric parking brake, and the driver’s seat is heated and suspended across the range. The dual-cab chassis variant has a heating and suspension for the front passenger seat also, but is otherwise optional in other variants.

Cab chassis Daily variants are available in two wheelbase options, 3000mm and 3750mm. Both trays are 2218mm wide, and are either 4223mm or 3173mm long.

The Cab-Chassis is available with a ‘Tradie-Made’ tray fitted off the showroom floor, with asking prices of either $58,700 before on-road costs for the short wheelbase, or $59,700 before on-road costs for the long wheelbase.

Both wheelbase variants come with a 3500kg towing capacity, and have a 4495kg GVM to suit a passenger-car license. Although, that payload can be increased to 7200kg.

2021 Iveco Daily vans are available in three different variants: 35S, 50C and 70. Load spaces vary from 7.3m3, all the way up to 19.3m3 on the biggest variant. Available GVMs vary also, from 3800kg up to 7000kg.

Iveco estimates that the Daily will consume approximately three litres of AdBlue per hundred kilometres, meaning the 20-litre tank will need to be topped up roughly every seven tanks of fuel. Although, this will vary according to to how loaded and hard-working the vehicle is.

All 2021 Iveco Daily models come with three years and 150,000 kilometres of free scheduled servicing, and a three-year/200,000 kilometre warranty.

2021 Iveco Daily Australian pricing

  • Daily SWB – $58,700
  • Daily LWB – $59,700

Note: All prices exclude on-road costs.
