Australian pricing and specifications have been confirmed for the 2021 Honda Odyssey, with the long-overdue facelifted model now on sale in Australia.
Headlining the upgrades for the Model Year 2021 Odyssey is a revised exterior design, with restyled front and rear fascias featuring LED headlights and tail-lights and scrolling indicators, the lattermost a Honda Australia first.
The exterior updates are joined by a range of updates inside the cabin – including enlarged infotainment and driver displays, and a new steering wheel – plus an array of new comfort and convenient features, including a hands-free power tailgate.
Opening the local Odyssey range is the newly-renamed Vi L7, priced from $44,250 plus on-road costs (up $5110 over the old base model, the VTi).
Standard equipment on the base grade includes seven interior seats with second row reclining and sliding captain's chairs, 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats, manually-adjustable heated front seats, black leather seat trim, nine cupholders, one-touch power-sliding side doors, power-adjustable heated door mirrors and Isofix points in the second row.
Other features include an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, six-speaker sound system, reversing camera, single-zone climate control, foot-operated parking brake, auto up/down driver's window, keyless entry, push-button start, automatic LED headlights, LED tail-lights, acoustic glass and 17-inch alloy wheels.

A wide array of active safety technologies are standard-fit, including autonomous emergency braking, forward collision alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, tyre pressure monitoring and airbags covering dual front, front side and curtain for all three rows.
All Odyssey models continue to be powered by a 129kW/225Nm 2.4-litre non-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a CVT automatic transmission (with paddle shifters) driving the front wheels.
Honda claims a combined fuel economy figure of 8.0L/100km, with 91RON unleaded set as the petrol engine's minimum requirement. A 1000kg braked towing capacity is claimed.
Stepping up to the top-spec Odyssey Vi LX7, priced from $51,150 plus on-road costs (up $2410 over the outgoing VTi-L), adds a one-touch power-operated sunroof, a hands-free power tailgate, gesture-controlled power-sliding doors, tri-zone climate control, auto up/down functionality for all windows and privacy glass for rear passengers and the cargo area.
It also adds eight-way driver and four-way passenger power-adjustable seat (with driver memory functionality), satellite navigation, second-row footwell ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and cornering functionality for the LED headlights.
The first examples of the 2021 Honda Odyssey will arrive in local dealerships throughout January.
