UPDATE, 25 January 2021: An earlier version of this story listed the Model Year 2021 Ford Fiesta ST as having lost LED headlights, and instead switching to halogen low and high-beam headlights.

While Ford Australia and its dealers initially cited the changes, the company's head office has since confirmed to CarAdvice that this is not the case, with MY21 models in fact continuing to offer the same LED low-beams, halogen high-beam and LED daytime-running lights offered with the Fiesta ST since launch.

In other words, MY20.25, MY20.75 and MY21 models all retain LED headlights. The story below has been updated.

  • 2021 Ford Fiesta ST price and specs detailed
  • Silver Fox colour axed, but equipment otherwise unchanged
  • 147kW/290Nm 1.5-litre turbo engine carry over
  • Priced from $32,290 plus on-road costs

18 January 2021: The 2021 Ford Fiesta ST has lost the Silver Fox exterior colour – a move mirrored in overseas markets, suggesting the colour is no longer in production globally.

While Ford Australia was yet to confirm pricing as this article was published, a number of dealers told CarAdvice the revised Fiesta ST will carry over into 2021 with the same $32,290 plus on-road costs price tag.

Standard equipment is otherwise unchanged, with kit on offer including an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite navigation, heated Recaro sports seats with four-way manual adjustment, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and wireless phone charging.

There's also rear parking sensors, a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen 'Play' sound system (something its bigger brother, the Focus ST, no longer offers) and an array of active safety technologies, including autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, hill-start assist, cruise control and traffic-sign recognition.

The Fiesta ST's 147kW/290Nm 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and six-speed manual transmission carry over unchanged, as does its roster of performance features including 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, a limited-slip differential, bi-modal sports exhaust, sports suspension, launch control and Normal, Sport and 'Race track' drive modes.

The 2021 Ford Fiesta ST is available to order now, with the first examples understood to be on route to Australian shores.
