As you might be aware, 2021 marks the year CarAdvice and Drive become one – bringing together both sites' top-shelf automotive content under the one banner.

For you, dear reader, not much will change. We're still the same team, with the same familiar faces and high standards for our new-car content and love of all things automotive.

The only difference is you'll eventually be able to meet all your new-car needs in one place, Drive.

Until then, however, we want to make sure that while you're glued to CarAdvice, you don't miss out on the original content we're producing on Drive.

1. Paul Walker's 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra FAM goes under the hammer

Late Fast and Furious star Paul Walker had a love of cars both on and off the silver screen.

His collection included a 1989 Nissan R32 Skyline and five rare BMW E36 M3 Lightweights, but one of his lesser-known acquisitions was a 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra FAM.

2. Australia's mining utes go electric

Under a new deal, utes across Australia's resources sector will soon be transformed into electric cars.

The $330 million deal was inked with Australian auto-electric company GB Auto and will see 2000 utes converted over four years.

3. Armour-plated Ferrari 458 Speciale unveiled

4. Honda launches an antiviral mask for your car

Now that humans have to wear face masks whenever we step out, it perhaps makes sense that our cars should too.

At least, that's the thinking behind Honda's latest creation – a new air filter which claims to capture more than 99.8 per cent of airborne virus droplets.

5. Porsche settles the score in the ultimate 911 Turbo drag-race

Since its arrival in 1975, there have been seven generations of the Porsche 911 Turbo.

The long-running debate as to which generation is best has finally been put to rest, with Porsche holding its own ultimate drag race between the different cars.
