2021 Volkswagen T-Cross, T-Roc price rises: Compact SUVs up to $500 more expensive

Prices of the Volkswagen T-Cross light SUV and T-Roc small SUV have risen for the new year, with increases of $400 to $500 across selected variants of their respective ranges.

The entire two-strong T-Cross line-up is now $400 more expensive, with prices now kicking off from $28,390 plus on-road costs for the entry-level 85TSI Life, and $31,390 before on-roads for the 85TSI Style.

Meanwhile, the T-Roc 140TSI Sport has risen in price by $500, for a total list price of $40,990 before on-road costs.

The entry-level T-Roc 110TSI Style carries over unchanged into the new year, priced from $33,990 plus on-roads, while the $42,990 140TSI X special edition introduced at the model's launch in 2020 has sold out and subsequently been discontinued.

Drive has contacted Volkswagen Australia for details regarding the reasoning behind the price increase.
