Fisker Alaska electric ute shown online

The 2022 Fisker Alaska electric ute has been previewed in images posted online.

Company founder and CEO Henrik Fisker revealed the images on LinkedIn, showing a sleek an angular dual-cab pick-up – but stressed it was not the final design.

"Ok, yes, [the] next vehicle might be a lifestyle pick up truck!" Mr Fisker said in the post.

"But not just any truck! We want to create the lightest, most efficient EV pick up in the world! Making it the most sustainable! Image is just a teaser! Not the final: final will be way more radical!" he wrote.

In early 2020, Mr Fisker posted an image of the Alaska on Twitter (shown below) with the accompanying words "Electric pick up!" before the post was deleted.

It's thought the new Alaska ute will share its underpinnings with the upcoming Fisker Ocean SUV, which uses an 80kWh battery pack to provide up to 480km of driving range.

Fisker has previously stated the Ocean will be offered in Australia, meaning there's a good chance the Alaska ute will follow.
