2021 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo unveiled, Australian launch confirmed

The 2021 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo has been unveiled, with a handful of examples confirmed for Australian shores.

Limited to just 33 units for the US market, the special-edition 4C pays tribute to Alfa Romeo's iconic 1967 33 Stradale mid-engined sports car.

Differentiating the 33 Stradale Tributo from 'standard' 4C Spiders is 'Rosso Villa d'Este' tri-coat exterior paint, gold 18-inch front and 19-inch rear five-hole alloy wheels, composite sports seats trimmed in brown leather and black Dinamica suede, a red finish for the 4C's carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, and unique numbered plaques on the dashboard, side sills and centre console.

A range of features typically offered as options are included as standard, including a centre-mounted Akrapovic bi-modal exhaust, "race-tuned" suspension, the aforementioned sports seats, bi-xenon headlights and an exposed carbon-fibre finish for the roof, structural pillars, Italian flag mirror caps, front brake cooling ducts and side air intakes.

Centro Stile badges adorn the side sills, while the front air intakes and rear diffuser can be had in piano black.

Customers also receive a matching, numbered book designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo detailing both the 4C's design, development and production, and the history of the original 33 Stradale.

Drive

The 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo retains the regular 4C's 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, sending 177kW of power and 350Nm of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Australian models can complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds, towards a 250km/h top speed.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo marks the final production run for the 4C Spider in North America – as both coupe and Spider variants are set to be axed globally in coming months – with prices in the US starting from US$79,995 (AU$106,000).

Alfa Romeo's Australian arm has confirmed a handful of examples will arrive in Australia in 2021, with further details to be announced in the coming months.

"The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is such an iconic car. We are excited to confirm a limited number of 4C Spider Stradale Tributos will arrive in Australia next year and we look forward to sharing more details with you in the coming months," said Tracie Stoltenburg, Alfa Romeo Australia communications director.
