2021 Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition unveiled

The 2021 Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition has been unveiled.

Developed as a collaboration between Aston Martin's Q personalisation division and Scottish whisky distillery Bowmore, just 18 examples of the special-edition DBX will be built, and can be differentiated by a range of specific design touches.

Offered as standard is a new Bowmore Blue paint finish (top) – an 'archive' colour from the British brand's past, reintroduced specifically for the DBX Bowmore – with a Xenon Grey hue (below) available as an alternative.

A copper finish adorns the Bowmore-branded side strakes, while black brake calipers can be had as an option, which hide behind the grey machined alloy wheels.

Inside, buyers can select from a choice of Obsidian monotone and Copper Tan Metallic/Obsidian duotone colour schemes, which adorn the leather seats, steering wheel, dashboard and other surfaces.

They're accented by copper contrast stitching and Bowmore Tweed inlays, the latter inspired by the lochs and environment of Islay Island in Scotland, where the Bowmore brand was established in 1883.

Other interior highlights include polished copper cupholders, gloss black centre console trim, and unique sill plates made from recycled copper.

Customers also score a range of unique 'Q by Aston Martin' accessories, including a Bowmore tweed picnic blanket and a leather carry bag.

Powering the DBX Bowmore Edition is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 as the standard DBX, sending 404kW of power and 700Nm of torque to all wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

"The Aston Martin and Bowmore brands share the same vision of creating timeless beauty and a lasting legacy, loyal to their heritage but also embracing new methods and this is reflected in the DBX Bowmore edition," said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer.

"Strips from the copper whiskey stills are inlayed into the side strakes and Bowmore Tweed accents the interior, Q by Aston Martin has once again created a beautiful, limited edition Aston Martin.”

The 2021 Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition is now available to order globally.

Customer deliveries will commence in the fourth quarter of 2021, with all buyers invited to take delivery as part of a wider 'Art of Living' experience in Scotland, including a 274km road trip through the countryside and a guided tour of the Bowmore Distillery on the island of Islay.
