2021 Honda Civic price rises: Increases up to $1000 for hatch and sedan
Prices of the Honda Civic small car have risen for the final months of 2020, with price increases across the hatch and sedan ranges by as much as $1000.
The entry-level Civic VTi variant has seen the largest rise, increasing in price by $1000, while Honda's higher-spec VTi-L and sport-oriented RS models come in $750 dearer than before.
Lower-spec VTi-S variants have risen in price the least of all model grades, now costing $350 more, while the flagship, non-performance VTi-LX can now be had for $550 more.
The sole trim grade excluded from the recent price increases – which came into effect in November – is the hero Civic Type R hot hatch, which retains its $54,990 before on-road costs sticker.
While pricing might have increased, standard equipment on offer with each variant hasn't changed – for a full breakdown of what's on offer, click on the links to read our previous, more in-depth pricing and specification stories for both hatch and sedan body styles.
Lower-spec VTi and VTi-S trims seek power from a 104kW/174Nm 1.8-litre non-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, while higher grades feature a 127kW/220Nm 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder. Both engines drive the front wheels through a standard-fit CVT automatic.
