2021 Jeep Compass and Compass Trailhawk facelifts leaked

The first images of the facelifted 2021 Jeep Compass have leaked out of China.

At the front, the updated SUV features slimmer headlights and a new grille, complemented by smaller fog lights and a wider black fascia.

No obvious changes have been made to the Compass's rear end.

Images of the off-road-oriented Trailhawk variant (pictured bottom of story) – with a matte black grille and red and black bonnet graphics – have also leaked, revealing it will benefit from the same slimmer headlights and a new set of alloy wheels.

No images have emerged of the Compass's  interior, but it’s expected to pick up a new central touchscreen running a newer version of Fiat Chrysler's Uconnect infotainment system.

The current Compass is offered in Australia with a choice of 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel or 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engines, with the entry-level model priced from $36,950 plus on-road costs.

By 2022, Jeep could offer as many as 11 models, and is expected to launch a sub-Renegade micro SUV alongside its existing Wrangler, Compass, Cherokee and other nameplates.
