2021 BMW M4 Competition x Kith: Special edition with lifestyle brand
The 2021 BMW M4 was only recently revealed, but a special edition has already been announced.
The German car company has collaborated with New York lifestyle brand Kith to create the BMW M4 Competition x Kith, which will be limited to just 150 examples worldwide.
The M4 has mainly cosmetic upgrades, featuring merged BMW and Kith logos throughout the vehicle, as well as BMW M tri-colour front seats with embossed Kith lettering and an illuminated badge.
Only three colours are available in the Kith M4: Frozen Black, Frozen Dark Silver, and Frozen Brilliant White. A large Kith merged logo is optional on the carbon-fibre roof panel.
BMW says the colour choice is an homage to the three most popular colours available in the very first BMW M3 – the E30, available from 1986 to 1991 – of which Kith founder Ronnie Fieg owns a red example.
While mechanically nothing changes, at $224,900 drive-away, the Kith M3 demands a premium over the standard M4 Competition, which starts at $159,900 plus on-road costs.
Kith has also released a line of clothing and accessories which use the merged BMW logo, which is almost sold out at the time of writing.
The Australian allocation of the special-edition M4 has already been filled.
