2021 Audi RS E-Tron GT to get three electric motors and 520kW – report
The 2021 Audi RS E-Tron GT will use a tri-electric motor set up, reportedly boasting more than 520kW of power.
Despite the E-Tron GT being based on the all-electric Porsche Taycan, it's believed the Audi will receive an additional electric motor and more power, according to a report from UK publication Auto Express.
The flagship electric model will be built alongside the Audi R8 supercar in Germany, and will emit jet sounds in order to comply with pedestrian safety regulations.
Along with the performance upgrades, the RS version of the E-Tron GT will feature flared wheel arches and more aggressive spoilers at the front and rear.
A 95kWh battery pack is expected to power the three electric motors, with two driving the rear wheels and one fitted to the front axle – maintaining the brand's Quattro all-wheel drive trademark.
While exact details are yet to be announced, the Audi RS E-Tron GT will likely complete the 0-100km/h sprint in around three seconds, with a potential driving range of approximately 400 kilometres.
