Bugatti teases radical new model

The Volkswagen-owned manufacturer is set to launch a new car later this month, however no official details for the project have been confirmed.

Bugatti is teasing an upcoming model, expected to launch later this month.

An image – appearing to show radical X-shaped rear taillights – is accompanied on the brand's website with the caption “what if…?”

The images comes seemingly out of the blue, as, just last month, Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann told media outlet Bloomberg the company had halted all product development for 2020.

While no official details on the project have been released, multiple outlets have speculated the Volkswagen-owned supercar manufacturer could be preparing to launch a track-only model based on the Vision Le Mans 2050 concept (shown above).

Recent reports that Bugatti is exploring a merger with Croatian EV brand Rimac also raise the possibility that the upcoming release could be electrified.

This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
