Mercedes–Benz unveils newest addition to its line-up… the eScooter
Pricing hasn't yet been announced for the all-new two-wheeler, however we do know it will have a 25km range and top speed of 19km/h.
Mercedes-Benz has launched the eScooter as the latest all-electric vehicle in its range.
Developed in conjunction with Swiss mobility specialists Micro Mobility Systems AG, the collapsible product weighs in at around 13kg.
Its 7Ah battery permits a 25km range, and recharging to 100 per cent takes around three hours.
A promotional video announcing the launch also suggests the eScooter has smartphone connectivity features.
Producing 0.5kW of power, the two-wheeler has a claimed top speed 19km/h.
Mercedes-Benz Australia was unable to confirm to CarAdvice if it will be offered locally. This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
However, assuming it does make it down under, the eScooter is unlikely to come cheap – in 2017 BMW launched a very similar product called the X2City, with a price tag of US$2850 (approximately AU$3950).
