2021 Mitsubishi Outlander and Triton prices on the rise
Mitsubishi's updated Outlander and Triton models have seen price rises across the board.
The 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander range has increased in price, with the updated model costing around $660 more than 2020 variants.
Meanwhile, the 2021 Mitsubishi Triton line-up has also become more expensive, in this case by an average of $730 per vehicle.
The entry-level two-wheel drive 2.0-litre Outlander has gone from $29,490 plus on road costs, to $29,990 plus on road costs. This represents an increase of $500.
The cheapest all-wheel drive variant – the 2.4-litre Outlander ES – has gone from $34,690 plus on road costs, to $34,990 plus on road costs, marking an increase of $300.
Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid 2.4-litre all-wheel-drive Outlander ES model has seen an increase of $600 from $47,390 plus on road costs, to $47,990 plus on road costs.
Specifications for the model 2021 update are expected to be announced in the next week.
In the ute department, the 2.4-litre Triton GLX petrol single cab tray has gone from $22,490 plus on road costs to $22,990 plus on road costs, representing an increase of $500.
The diesel variant of the single-cab tray Triton GLX is now $27,490 plus on road costs, increasing $1250 from $26,240.
The Triton pick-up – also powered by a 2.4-litre diesel – was priced from $36,540 plus on road costs, and now costs $36,990 plus on road costs. This represents an increase of $450.
A spokesperson for Mitsubishi Australia told CarAdvice multiple factors contributed to the increases on both models.
“The upcoming MY2021 vehicles will have some updates, but economic factors like exchange rates have also played a part in determining cost.”
