2021 BMW X2 M Mesh Edition to arrive with unique styling
The 2021 BMW X2 M Mesh Edition has been announced for Australia, bringing with it some personalised pizazz normally associated the Mini range.
Offering more individual styling cues, the M Mesh Edition of the X2 small SUV gets an all-new mesh grille, high-gloss black highlights, Frozen Black-Brown exterior contrasting, and the option of an exclusive Brooklyn Grey metallic with orange decals.
Buyers can also option Sapphire Black with orange decals, or Alpine White, Phytonic Blue, or Sunset Orange metallic – all with black decals. The decal colour also corresponds with painted highlights on the 20-inch alloy wheels.
BMW is offering the X2 M Mesh Edition locally with the sDrive20i M Sport X package drivetrain, which uses a 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder producing 141kW/280Nm via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
While the body kit loses fog lights available on other variants, the Mesh Edition gains an X2 puddle-lamp, projected to the ground from the driver's wing mirror at night.
The X2 M Mesh Edition also gets a revised interior, with unique Dakota leather seat trims in Mocha and Anthracite-coloured Alcantara, with contrast stitching in orange. This combination extends to the dashboard.
As with other X2 models, the Mesh Edition gets a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple Carplay, wireless charging capability, and a head-up display.
The 2021 BMW X2 M Mesh Edition will arrive in Australia in the first quarter of 2021, with pricing and local specification to be announced.
