Video: 2021 Hyundai i30 Sedan N teased

The 2021 Hyundai i30 Sedan N (or i30 N Sedan as most are likely to call it) has been teased in a video released by the Korean car maker.

The video, which shows-off Hyundai's i30 N Sedan TCR racing car – known as the Elantra N TCR overseas – gives a sneak peak at the road-going variant in the final few seconds.

The camouflaged i30 N Sedan is the first official confirmation of the performance sedan from Hyundai, despite months of industry speculation. Recently it was announced the i30 Sedan N-Line would be offered locally.

It's expected the sedan will get the same 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder engine found in the updated i30 N hatch and i30 Fastback N, producing 205kW and 392Nm. Transmission options will likely be a choice between a six-speed manual and a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The i30 N Sedan features Hyundai's latest design language, but offers a more striking appearance than its i30 hatch sibling thanks to its 'pennon flank' side sheet-metal and jewel-patterned grille.
