Mercedes-AMG recalls C63, G Wagon, and GT S for emissions fault

The German performance car maker has recalled three models due to a software issue.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall of 956 AMG vehicles with Model Years from 2015 to 2018 (MY15-MY18).

The problem occurs in Mercedes-AMG C63, G Wagon, and GT S models.

The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says the computer may not function as intended if left sitting for a period of time, resulting in emissions which do not meet regulations.

Affected cars were sold between 1 May 2015 and 30 July 2017. Mercedes-Benz Australia is contacting owners to organise inspection and repair of the defect.

A full list of vehicle identification numbers of the 956 cars involved in the recall can be found here.
