2020 MG ZS prices cut, becomes cheapest small SUV in Australia

MG has reduced prices across its ZS range, and in turn, has crowned its ZS Excite model the cheapest small SUV currently on sale in Australia.

The announcement comes as the Chinese brand launches another small SUV in the same segment, the MG ZST.

While the entry-level ZS Excite model has undergone the biggest price cut of $1500, the ZS Excite Plus and ZS Essence models have both been reduced by $1000. The MG ZS Anfield Edition remains unchanged at $26,990 drive-away.

Features and specifications remain the same, apart from the entry-level Excite model receiving a new set of alloy wheels.

That means the entry-level MG ZS Excite now undercuts the previous cheapest small SUV in Australia, the Haval H2 Premium, by a whole $1000.

MG plans to continue to offer the MG ZS alongside the newly introduced MG ZST for at least 12 months, as a two-pronged attack on the small SUV segment.

MG says it has sold a total of 2031 ZS SUVs since the start of 2020. As with all MGs, the ZS is covered by a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
