2021 Mazda BT-50: Accessories program launches, full range to exceed 100 options
Mazda has released details of their forthcoming 2021 BT-50 ute accessory program, which will include over one hundred options for the new ute.
“The commercial vehicle segment is of vital importance to Mazda Australia, and a strong accessories offer brings further customer personalisation opportunities,” said Vinesh Bhindi, Managing Director of Mazda Australia.
The program is headed up by Mazda’s own steel bullbar, called the ‘Queensland Bar’, which offers fully hooped protection against animal strikes.
Mazda tells us the bullbar is designed to work well with the BT-50’s cooling package, and the LED headlights. If you want more lighting, there are tabs for mounting auxiliary driving lights.
The bullbar will also work with front parking sensors, for higher specification models. Like the Isuzu D-Max, windscreen-mounted cameras (which operates the advanced safety technology) aren't impacted by the addition of a bullbar.
Other accessories offered by Mazda includes sports bars, roof racks, roof rails, wheels, side steps and tonneau covers.
Like the BT-50 base vehicle, Mazda accessories will be covered by a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
Based on the 2021 Isuzu D-Max, the new Mazda BT-50 will land in Australian showrooms in October 2020. While pricing for the new BT-50 hasn't been released yet, Mazda tells us it will be 'competitive'.
