US tuning company Roush Performance has released an upgrade package for the Ford Ranger in North America.
A side-exiting exhaust and some Fox shock absorbers are the only mechanical changes to Ford's dual cab ute, with most of the items in the package being visual upgrades.
As the exhaust system relates to the 2.3-litre petrol turbo engine fitted to US models, it's no good for Aussie Ranger models.
But for those willing to hand over US$12,750 (AU$17.3K), a quilted leather interior with Roush embroidery and special floor mats will help to give the interior a premium feel, while the rest of the package gives a unique exterior look.
On the outside, the Ranger Roush gets satin black 18-inch alloy wheels, grey fender flares with accent lighting, red tow hooks, side vent badges, decals, and a Roush grille with dual hidden LED light bars.
Roush key fobs are also included.
The optional accessories list is comprehensive, with additional light bars, an off-road kit, a couple of lockable interior safes, exterior decals, a tub liner, and aluminium retractable tub cover also available.
A spokesperson for local tuning house Tickford – Roush Performance distributor – has told CarAdvice due to the differences between Austalian and US-spec models, most Roush parts are not available for the Ford Ranger here.
However, Tickford does offer a number of upgrades for the Ranger suited to the Australian Ford Ranger.
