- 2020 Abarth 695 70º Anniversario limited to just 40 locally
- Adjustable rear spoiler for added downforce
- Exclusive green pays homage to Abarth racing history
- Priced from $44,950 plus on-road costs
The 2020 Abarth 695 70º Anniversario has finally arrived in Australia, celebrating the Italian car company's 70th anniversary.
First announced in October 2019, only 40 of the special Abarth hatches will be available to local buyers, with prices starting from $44,950 plus on-road costs.
The Abarth 695 70º Anniversario gets tri-colour Sabelt sports seats, 17-inch SuperSport alloy wheels, red Brembo brake callipers, and the model's Monza exhaust.
The 70º Anniversario also gets a new rear spoiler – with adjustment from zero to 60-degrees – featuring a large embossed Abarth logo viewable at its maximum position.
Developed in Fiat's wind tunnel in Italy, Abarth says the spoiler aids downforce and improves high-speed stability.
Buyers can also option an exclusive exterior colour for the 70º Anniversario: known as 'Monza 1958 green', the paint pays tribute to the record-setting Abarth 500 of 1958.
The 695 is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 134kW and 250Nm, and is available with either a five-speed single-clutch automatic, or a five-speed manual – with the manual gaining a limited-slip differential for better traction.
All Abarth 695 70º Anniversario are commemorated with a numbered interior plaque and exterior badging.
