Aston Martin 007 special edition unveiled ahead of new Bond film

The newest James Bond film in the series No Time To Die is due later this year. Aston Martin is celebrating with two special editions.

Aston Martin has announced two '007 Edition' sports cars, ahead of the release of the latest James Bond film No Time To Die.

The 2021 Aston Martin Vantage The Living Daylights Edition and range-topping 2021 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Bond Edition models pay homage to British spy character with a number of unique features.

Bond buffs will notice subtle (and not-so subtle) references throughout The Living Daylights Vantage, with the main talking-point being a laser-etched control panel between the driver and passenger – complete with a fake self-destruct button.

The Aston Martin also pays homage to the 1987 Bond film The Living Daylights with f-holes printed on the back of the carbon fibre seats – a reference to the cello chase scene – as well as the fictional Russian police radio frequency embroidered onto the sun visor.

On the outside, the 'Cumberland Grey' paint is complemented with a bespoke mesh grille with chrome bezel, and dashed yellow stripes at the rear inspired by the original movie car's rearward rockets.

A matching set of skis and a ski rack can be optioned.

The range-topping DBS Superleggera Bond Edition isn't as playful as the Vantage, but is more closely aligned to the movie car featured in the upcoming film.

Special 'Ceramic Grey' paint, tinted carbon-fibre highlights, and unique gloss black 21-inch alloy wheels set the exterior apart from your regular DBS models.

Black leather is found extensively inside, with red highlights and 007 badging throughout.

The two models are produced by the British sports car maker's bespoke division, called 'Q by Aston Martin'. No doubt a reference to the character of Q, who has provided James Bond with specially-designed cars throughout the film series.

Only 25 of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Bond Edition models will be produced in total, while 100 of the Aston Martin Vantage The Living Daylights Editions will be available globally.

The film No Time to Die will hit cinemas in November 2020, and deliveries of the Aston Martin 007 Editions will begin in early 2021.
