Maserati GranCabrio at 2010 AIMS

Maserati has its latest Maserati Gran Cabrio on display at the Motor Show in Sydney and it's the first time the car has been shown at a AIMS event.

The latest car is a stunning example of how an Italian two-door drop top should look. The bodywork features curves and creases in all the right spots, with a interior decor and design to match.

Under the bonnet of the GranCabrio is a 4.7-litre V8 Italian stallion offering 323kW of power at a glorious 7000rpm. This unit allows the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and go on to a top speed of 283km/h.

The light-weight soft-top roof features five cross braces to provide a sturdy shelter when it's up, and then, at the touch of a button, this is all packed away neatly into the rear section of the car. This transition from open top to closed takes just 20 seconds and can be done while on the go, at speeds up to 30km/h.

It's available right now at your local Maserati showroom, with prices starting at $338,000.
