New Rolls-Royce Ghost will be all-wheel-drive

In a promotional video posted to Twitter the iconic British manufacturer confirmed the new Ghost will be all-wheel drive and have four-wheel steering.

Rolls-Royce has revealed its next-generation Ghost limousine will be all-wheel drive.

In a promotional video posted to Twitter, the iconic manufacturer also announced the 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost will have four-wheel steering and a new predictive suspension system.

The video – which can be watched here – confirmed the Ghost will switch to the brand's modular "Architecture of Luxury" space frame platform that currently underpins the Phantom and Cullinan.

Rolls-Royce is yet to announce a powertrain for the new Ghost, however it will likely be driven by the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 as the Cullinan.

When fitted to the Cullinan this engine produces roughly 450kW and 900Nm.

Multiple outlets have suggested the new Rolls-Royce Ghost could be electrified or offered as a hybrid, however this speculation remains unconfirmed.

In 2019 CarAdvice reported the new Rolls-Royce Ghost had been spied in transit, and, since then, the vehicle has been seen on multiple public roads in camouflage.

The car is due to be officially launched in Europe in September.

The current generation Rolls-Royce Ghost is priced from $545,000 plus on-road costs in Australia.
