Honda Insight at 2010 AIMS
Apart from the collection of Honda CR-Z sports hybrid models on show, Honda also included the Honda Insight hybrid to its stands.
The new Honda Insight features a larger body than the previous generation model as well as improved driver interaction through the use of a Ecological Drive Assist system.
Under the bonnet there's a 1.3-litre i-VTEC four cylinder engine backed up by a Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) battery-powered electric motor. These operation of two drive platforms is displayed onto a Multi-Information Display.
The display also presents the Ecological Drive Assist information. The three modes, 'Econ', 'Guidance' and 'Scoring' can be activated by the driver at the push of a button. They offer varying degrees of economy and efficiency.
The new Honda Insight will go on sale here in Australia in December.
