Mercedes-AMG GT Black limited edition only available to Project One buyers
A variant of the new Mercedes AMG GT Black Series – dubbed the ‘P One Edition’ – will be exclusively available to buyers of the delayed AMG Project One hybrid hypercar.
The ‘P One Edition’ of the Mercedes AMG GT features a colour scheme that closely mirrors the company's Formula One livery.
Inside it features turquoise highlights reminiscent of the team’s title sponsor Petronas.
The car is believed to be mechanically identical to the standard AMG GT Black Series, which produces 537kW via its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8.
It has a claimed 0 to 100km/h time of 3.2 seconds - 0.4 seconds quicker than the AMG GT R.
The AMG One (previously known as “Project One”) was announced at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
It will be propelled by a modified version of the Mercedes AMG Formula One hybrid power-unit that produces between 778kW and 918kW.
The car costs US$2.72 million (approximately AU$3.81 million).
Production of the AMG One (pictured above) has been limited to 275 examples, all of which have been sold.
Extensive delays have plagued the project, and the first deliveries are now scheduled for 2021.
