2021 BMW M135i xDrive Pure, M235i xDrive Pure announced at lower price
BMW has announced the addition of 2021 BMW M135i xDrive Pure and 2021 BMW M235i xDrive Pure models to its line-up.
The new M Pure treatment gives buyers a bundle of standard equipment, but at a $5000 saving over the standard models.
The BMW M135i xDrive Pure is priced at $63,990 plus on-road costs, while the BMW M235i xDrive Pure is priced at $67,990 plus on-road costs.
On the outside, the M135i xDrive Pure and M235i xDrive Pure come with the M Sport exterior treatment, 19-inch alloy wheels, and M Sport brakes.
Inside, drivers will get the thicker M Sport steering wheel, M Sport seats, black Alcantara and cloth 'Trigon' upholstery, and 'Illuminated Boston' highlights.
A Driving Assistant package gives owners lane departure warning, lane change warning, approach control warning with low-speed autonomous braking, rear cross-traffic warning, rear collision warning, and speed limit information.
Parking assistant is standard with front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, and semi-autonomous parallel parking.
Both models are powered by a 225kW/450Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with an eight-speed torque-converter automatic and all-wheel-drive. A front limited-slip differential aids grip.
While standard M135i xDrive and M235i xDrive models are $5000 dearer than the M Pure variants, the extra cost gains a panoramic sunroof, adaptive LED headlights with high-beam assist, 'Dakota' leather interior, and a Harmon/Kardon sound system.
This comes after BMW raised prices of the 1 Series and 2 Series range in June. Despite less standard equipment, the new M Pure models come in cheaper than the pre-June pricing.
The BMW M135i xDrive Pure and M235i xDrive Pure will be available from the third quarter of 2020.
