2021 Jaguar I-Pace price and specs

The electric performance SUV has received faster at-home charging capabilities. It's available now, with deliveries to begin from around July.

Prices and specifications for the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace range have been unveiled, with the new model year promising updates to the electric SUV's infotainment system, charging capabilities, driver technology and design options.

Still available in three equipment grades – the S, SE and HSE – the updates have heralded price hikes across the I-Pace range and each variant has risen by between $4760 and $6060 plus on-road costs.

In good news for those looking to charge at home, the electrified performance car will now take only 8.6 hours to reach a full charge from empty when using an 11kW (AC) wall box, thanks to the addition of an 11kW on-board charger as standard across the range.

Previously, it took an estimated 12.75 hours to reach a full charge from empty, with the most recent generation of I-Pace only offering up to 7.2kW of charging power.

The I-Pace's promised range remains 470km (WLTP), but the faster charging capabilities now mean range can be increased in a shorter time, with an 11kW charger adding 53km of range per hour, a 50kW charger adding 63km in only 15 minutes and a 100kW charger adding up to 127km in 15 minutes.

Available to order now, with showroom arrivals expected in late July or early August 2020, the incoming model will also boast new driver technology offerings and an all-new infotainment system across the car's 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and 10- and 5-inch upper and lower touchscreens.

The Pivi Pro infotainment system is designed to mimic a smartphone, with a flat menu structure and a simplified, self-learning navigation system that provides the driver with their closest charging points and can be zoomed in with the pinch of the fingers, much like an iPhone.

This joins improved connectivity, including the addition of optional wireless smartphone charging, Bluetooth connection for two phones simultaneously and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

The I-Pace's charging, battery management and infotainment systems can also all be updated over-the-air, thanks to enhanced remote software update capabilities.

Like other Jaguar Land Rover products before it, the I-Pace will now receive JLR's ClearSight rear-view digital mirror, offering uncompromised visibility even with a full backseat thanks to a roof-mounted camera that digitally augments the rear-vision mirror.

Additionally, a new 3D surround camera will be available through the vehicle's central touchscreen, while an enhanced climate control system will deliver energy efficient heating or cooling to up to four zones independently.

The I-Pace also gains more distinctive design options for 2021, with the introduction of a new Bright Pack option (including chrome and grey exterior accents) plus new paint options including Caldera Red, Portofino Blue and Eiger Grey.

The all-wheel-drive car's outputs remain unchanged for 2021, with the I-Pace generating a maximum 294kW and 696Nm from its two independent electric motors located at each axle, promising acceleration from 0-100km/h 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 200km/h.

The Jaguar I-Pace is offered with an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty and a five-year/200,000km new vehicle warranty – greater than that of other Jaguar vehicles, which typically receive a three-year/100,000km warranty.
