The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the world motorsports governing body, will be auctioning more than 60 lots later this week as part of an online charity auction hosted by RM Sotherby's.
Among the items is the last Toyota F1 car to compete in the world championship, donated by Toyota Gazoo Racing. The F1 car comes complete with V8 engine and seven-speed gearbox.
The Toyota F1 car, chassis TF109-01, was driven by Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock in the 2009 season, and later by Nick Heidfeld, Pedro de la Rosa, and Romain Grosjean when the car became the test bed for Pirelli.
Other items being auctioned are race suits from Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Damon Hill, Charles Leclerc, Valtteri Bottas, and Tom Kristensen.
Those wanting to live out their dream of driving for Scuderia Ferrari also have the chance to bid to win a day in the F1 team's track simulator.
All proceeds from the auction will go to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), better known as the Red Cross, to help fund the organisation's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The #RaceAgainstCovid auction will be held online between June 15 and June 22, 2020. More information can be found at RM Sotherby's.
