Porsche's Cayenne E-Hybrid SUV now has a fastback-styled companion, with the Australian debut of the 2020 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe.
Available for order now, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe slots in above the regular E-Hybrid model and beneath the 4.0-litre turbo V8 petrol-electric Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe – although five other Cayenne variants sit between the two in price.
While getting into the 500kW/900Nm Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe when it launched last year was a $292,700 proposition (before on-road costs), the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe arrives at $151,600 – again before on-road costs.
For that spend, you get a combined petrol-electric system output of 340kW and 700Nm, delivered by a 3.0-litre turbo V6 matched to an electric motor.
And, while no rival to the V8 hybrid's 3.8-second run to 100km/h, the E-Hybrid Coupe is no slouch. Porsche claims it will hit the ton in 5.1 seconds with the standard-fit Sport Chrono package, and 5.0 seconds with the optional lightweight sports packages.
Highlights of the standard equipment pack for the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe include: Surround View, Privacy Glass, Auto-dimming exterior and interior mirrors, rear side airbags, Lane Change Assist, Comfort Access, Head-Up Display, Driver Memory Package and DAB+ digital radio.
