Maserati MC20 supercar teased again

The Trident badge has shown off its first supercar in more than a decade as it completes testing.

Italian sportscar maker Maserati has teased its MC20 completing track testing in Sicily ahead of a slated September debut.

While the blurry spy photos released by Maserati reveal no new information about the MC20 – its first supercar in more than a decade – CarAdvice understands it will be unveiled in the coming months..

The local showroom arrival of the Maserati MC20 is expected later this year, CarAdvice has been told.

This timing follows delays in the Maserati MC20’s original launch schedule due to COVID-19 lockdowns in Italy. The unveiling is now expected to take place in September.

As reported last month, the Maserati MC20 is expected to be powered a Ferrari-built twin-turbocharged V6 engine that sends more than 447kW to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The carbon-fibre Maserati MC20 should also be offered in both coupe and convertible layouts, with electrified variants said to be in the works.
