McLaren MP4-12C prototypes testing in Arizona

McLaren still seems to be testing the McLaren MP4-12C supercar, even though it has be shown at various car shows in 'production' form.

It was on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2009 and then again in 2010. It was even driven up the famous hill climb at the Festival by Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, yet McLaren continues to hone the car to perfection.

Here we see three prototypes being tested in extreme hot weather conditions in Arizona, USA. There are a number of prototype testing programs being run by McLaren, these three cars apparently come from Validation Prototype (VP) and Experimental Prototype (XP) units.

Two of cars were from the latest and current prototype program, VP, while the other car is from the previous program, XP. Surely the VP program is the last of such testing.

The cars appear to be driven fairly hard in the conditions, even on the dirt. According to reports, temperatures in the region reached 46 degrees during the testing which would have really put the prototypes under pressure.

McLaren has also made a presence at the 2010 Paris Motor with the MP4-12C, check our latest updates very soon.
