It’s called the N420 and it’s by none other than Aston Martin, voted the UK’s ‘coolest brand’ for the fourth time in five years ahead of Apple and top shelf audio firm, Bang & Olufsen.
It wasn’t that long ago that the company launched the Vantage N420 special edition Coupe, with deliveries for that car commencing in August.
Aston Martin has announced the V8 Vantage N420 Roadster, and you’ll have to agree, this is pure automotive eye candy.
The Roadster version, as the name suggests, maintains the 420-horsepower (313 kW) V8 engine, but overall weight is reduced by 27 kilograms, through the use of carbon fibre features, including the front splitter and rear diffuser.
Other unique features include 10-spoke gloss black alloy wheels, black mesh vents and wider side sills for a more aggressive look on the road.
Inside, you’ll find an iridium trim package with contrasting stitched upholstery, graphite instruments, and the choice of Alcantara or leather for the steering wheel.
Standard fitment underneath includes the Sports Pack suspension for better handling with revised springs, dampers, and anti-roll bars, as well as a Sports exhaust system with Graphite exhaust tips.
Performance wise, the V8 Vantage N420 Roadster will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 290km/h.
CarAdvice is advised that the first Vantage N420 Roadster has already arrived on our shores, ready for the AMOC Nationals this weekend in the Barossa, South Australia.
