Skoda introduces used-car capped-price servicing

The servicing packages can be purchased for cars that are more than 12 months old.

Skoda Australia has announced capped-price servicing packages available to owners of its used cars.

The packages – which cover all items in the routine service schedule – are available for used Skoda cars that are more than 12 months old or have travelled more than 15,000km, providing they have had their first scheduled service.

Skoda’s packages are valid for four years and span the vehicle’s next four annual services or 60,000km, whichever comes first.

The packs are priced from $1200 for the brand’s Fabia and Rapid small cars, $1300 for Yeti small SUV, Octavia medium car (pictured above) and Karoq medium SUV, and $1600 for the Superb large car and Kodiaq large SUV (pictured below).

Skoda claims these prices represent a 30 per cent saving on average compared to full cost servicing over the same period.

Further to the used-car packages, Skoda is also offering three- and five-year capped-price servicing packages for ‘new’ cars that have travelled less than 15,000km.

By comparison, the three- and five-year servicing packs for a new Kodiaq or Rapid cost $750 and $1350 respectively. Octavia and Karoq cost $800 and $1400 for three- and five-year servicing packs, while the Superb and Kodiaq cost $900 and $1700.

Both new- and used-car servicing packs are attached to the car and not the owner, meaning the benefit is transferred with the car during sale.
