Audi Australia introduces online purchasing for entire model range

Audi Australia has announced a new online purchasing platform and delivery service for every model in its range.

It joins its sister company Volkswagen and a growing list of Australian brands offering some form of contactless sales solution during COVID-19.

Audi’s online system – which the brand says does not require buyers to leave their home at any stage – allows selection and configuration of a dealer stocked model, a ‘virtual walkaround’, payment of a refundable $500 deposit to reserve a car, and home delivery of the new vehicle when the transaction is complete.

Home test drives are also offered, with an Audi representative bringing the vehicle to a potential buyer’s home to conduct the test drive.

Financing and vehicle trade-in are also available during the online process. Drive understands the trade-in process can also be done from buyers' homes, though the process for assessing the trade-in vehicle may vary depending on which dealer is carrying out the inspection.

Yesterday, Subaru Australia launched contactless vehicle delivery, and servicing pick up and drop off services.

Last week, Mini Australia moved to online ordering. Last month, Volkswagen – Audi’s sister company – announced its entire range would be made available for online purchase.
