Plus: Jeep revives its 'Groundhog Day' ad, and a Jimny-friendly inclinometer.

When we’re not creating it ourselves, the CarAdvice team spends a lot of time finding and consuming motoring content from all over the world.

Here’s a handful of the photos, articles, videos or social media posts that most caught our eye last week. Some of them are brand new, others have been online for a while.

Enjoy them – just not too much, okay?

1. This Jimny-themed inclinometer

Off-road enthusiasts in need of an inclinometer with some X-factor may be tempted by Fourby, an app designed specifically with the Suzuki Jimny in mind.

Using 3D models and artwork to help users gauge their car's position when tackling off-roading routes, Fourby allows you to customise its colour displays to reflect the Jimny you're actually driving (or wish you were driving).

You can download it for $1.99 here.

2. A tiny-wheeled Hummer

If you're in need of a pick-me-up after a long week, look no further than the ridiculous spectacle of a Hummer H2 riding on 13-inch wheels.

The latest creation to come out of Garage 54, a custom car shop located in Novosibirsk, Russia, the H2 was fitted with a modified set of wheels that prove comically small compared to its hulking body.

The crew at Garage 54 took it out for a drive in Russia's icy weather, where it managed to reach speeds of up to 80km/h, looking truly bizarre in the process. Watch it in action below.

3. A strangely convincing Cybertruck camper concept

The Tesla Cybertruck is yet to officially hit the roads, but it's already amassed legions of fans online based on the promise of its design alone.

Anticipating its success, the Cybertruck fandom has already started imagining alternate variants of the electric utility. One rendering, from a member of the Cybertruck Owners Club, suggests what a camper concept of the Cybertruck could look like.

And despite the fact the Cybertruck already cuts an imposing figure, somehow the addition of a sleeping area seamlessly blends in with its existing shape.

4. This Rolls-Royce design competition

If you have a bored child at home who just happens to be a creative genius, this could be the perfect way to keep them occupied – for an hour at least.

Rolls-Royce is running a design competition calling on children up to the age of 16 to design "their dream Rolls-Royce of the future". No, the overall winner won't get a free Rolls-Royce, but they will get to see their sketch transformed into a digitally rendered illustration.

Runners up will receive a certificate hand-signed by Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

You can enter for your little one here and entries close on May 18.

5. Jeep reviving its Groundhog Day Super Bowl ad

Jeep possibly won the Super Bowl ad race this year with its clever commercial starring Bill Murray in a mini remake of his hit 1993 movie Groundhog Day (you can watch it here).

And while plenty of its customers are stuck at home during the coronavirus restrictions, the car brand decided to revive the ad – this time with a different message.

Titled Same Day, the new version of the ad – which uses edited footage Murray allowed Jeep to re-use free of charge – sees lead character Phil decide to stay in bed, rather than leaving his house to live the same day over and over again.

"Stay home. Stay healthy. When this is all over, the trails will be waiting," Jeep opines. Watch it below.
