2020 Nissan X-Trail pricing and specs
The popular SUV gets added equipment and a small price rise.
Nissan has added some standard equipment to some models in its top-selling Nissan X-Trail lineup, as well as bumping prices up across the entire model-year 2020 range.
Locally fit rear parking sensors will now feature on all 2020 ST-L, Ti and TL variants, while the TS and ST variants miss out on the feature.
No other changes have been made to the popular SUV range, but prices have risen $150 across all model variants, tipping it over the $30,000 mark (before on-road costs) for an entry-level X-Trail.
That means the X-Trail range kicks off with the base manual ST for $30,040 plus on-road costs (up from $29,890), and tops out with the diesel flagship TL for $48,490 before ORCs (up from $48,340).
X-Trail buyers have the choice of five or seven seats in ST and ST-L variants, as well as the option of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive across all five-seat variants except the manual ST.
Automatic variants score a continuously variable transmission, while the base ST gets a six-speed manual transmission.
Three four-cylinder engines are available for the X-Trail: the manual-only 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (106kW, 200Nm), the 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (126kW, 226Nm) and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel (130kW, 380Nm).
Nissan sold almost 20,000 X-Trails in 2019, representing an 11.5 per cent market share in the 'medium SUV under $60,000' segment.
That places it third in its class, just behind the Mazda CX-5 with 14.9 per cent market share and the Toyota RAV4 with 14.2 per cent market share.
