2019 Audi Q7 recalled over airbag that may not inflate properly

Audi Australia has issued a recall of five of its 2019 Q7 (model code 4M) SUVs affected by a faulty airbag component.

Lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the defect related to a fastening for an air duct used to inflate the curtain airbag.

Audi reports that during an accident this fastening may detach, causing the airbag to not inflate sufficiently, increasing the risk of injury to the occupant.
