2012 Ford Focus ST gets ready for Paris Motor Show

If vulgarity is anything to go by then the 2012 Ford Focus ST is going to be the centre of attention at the Paris Show in a few weeks time. The car is set to debut on September 30.

Ford says the exhibit is all about showing the car's new body style and interior to potential customers well before the car will go on sale in 2012. And it also proves the company is well under way in terms of development for the new car.

Featuring an obvious huge new front grille and fascia, the interesting new body appears to be carved out of clay with a sword; everything is really sharp and gives the impression of moving fast. Other obvious changes are the large wrap-around tail lights, twin centrally-mounted honeycomb exhaust outlets and new wheels.

Power will come from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 187kW. No other specific details have been released on the upcoming Focus except that it'll be offered in a new colour scheme; Tangerine Scream, of course.

There's also a funky fast new interior for the upcoming Focus ST. It shows off plenty of carbon, or carbon-look trimmings and inserts. A new futuristic dash with fresh controls also make an appearance.

Look out for more of our updates and details on the upcoming 2012 Ford Focus, including the base model range, when the show commences.
