Mitsubishi Australia appoints Shaun Westcott as CEO
Mr Westcott fills the role of a 30-year veteran.
Mitsubishi Motor Corporation has appointed Shaun Westcott as CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Australia after only a year with the company.
Mr Westcott will replace John Signoriello, who was appointed CEO in 2017 and has been with the business for 30 years.
Mr Signoriello has taken a role as Executive Officer for Global Marketing and Sales for Mitsubishi Motor Corporation in Toyko.
“Shaun is a great fit for Mitsubishi Motors Australia," Mr Signoriello said.
“His appointment demonstrates Mitsubishi Motor Corporation’s commitment to developing talent globally and I look forward to following the developments under Shaun’s leadership over the coming years.”
Mr Westcott joined Mitsubishi in 2019 as the Deputy Director of Aftersales where he oversaw parts, accessories and customer experience.
He has previously worked in the mining, fast-moving consumer goods, robotics and manufacturing industries.
He will take the top job after a strong year for Mitsubishi across 2019. The brand finished fourth in Australia for new car sales last year, seeing only a two per cent decline in sales compared to an industry average of nearly eight per cent.
