Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible revealed

Bentley's bespoke division has given the Continental GT Convertible a makeover ahead of its 2020 Geneva motor show debut.

The revisions made by Mulliner to Bentley's standard Continental GT Convertible appear mostly aesthetic.

A quilted interior contains almost 400,000 individual stitches – up from the 310,675 in the 2019 Continental GT Convertible – in an embroidery process the marque says took 18 months to develop.

Interiors will be available in eight combinations, each comprised of three colours. However, the particulars of the colour palates have not been confirmed. A Breitling timepiece sits in the dash, and the instrument cluster consists of a ‘precision-rendered’ gauges and LED display.

On the outside, the Mulliner-designed 22-inch wheels will feature self-levelling badges that stay upright on the move

In the case none of the hues in Mulliner’s 61-colour exterior paint range appeal, buyers can also commission a Bentley ‘paint artisan’ to recreate any colour from a sample.

While Bentley has not released official power and torque figures, the W12-engined model has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 333km/h – suggesting its output will be identical to the 467kW and 900Nm on offer in the 2019 Continental GT Convertible.

The Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible will also receive a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 option with a claimed 0-100km/h time of 4.1 seconds on its way to a 318km/h top speed.

The marque last released a Mulliner special edition with its Continental GT Number 9 which paid homage to a legendary 1930s Le Mans racer.

The Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible will be debuted at the 2020 Geneva motor show running from March 5th to 15th.
