2020 Renault Master pricing and specs
Renault has today announced its 2020 Master will be available in Australia from March as part of its promise to have an all-new or updated range by the end of 2020.
The new Master will be available in a variety of wheelbases spanning short (SWB), medium (MWB), long (LWB) and bus.
As per the previous model, body height and drivetrain layout will also depend on wheelbase.
SWB models have the shortest roof and front-wheel drive (FWD), MWB receives the second-shortest height and FWD, LWB sees the second-tallest height with the option of FWD or rear-wheel drive (RWD), and the bus layout receives the highest body available only in RWD.
The 2020 model will feature a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and revised interior trim with more durable upholstery materials. Exterior styling has also been modernised.
Pricing starts from $44,490 before on-road costs for a manual SWB and tops out with an automatic LWB or Bus for $62,990 before on-road costs.
Option packs include: Convenience Pack ($1000, manual only), Business Pack ($1000) and Trade Pack ($1600). Metallic paint costs an additional $1000.
The 2020 Master will be included in Renault’s Capped Price Servicing and Roadside Assistance program, and is eligible for four years of 24/7 roadside assistance when the vehicle is serviced by Renault dealerships.
Capped price servicing is offered for three years or 90,000km – whichever occurs first.
All variants of the Master will use a 2.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The twin-turbocharged version mated to a six-speed manual produces 120kW and 360Nm, while the six-speed automatic option receives a single-turbocharged engine outputting 110kW and 350Nm.
Fuel consumption has not been stated by Renault, but CarAdvice has seen in the region of 10.1L/100km for mixed driving in the 2017 Renault Master Bus.
The Master’s loading area will utilise LED lighting and cabin storage sits at 105L thanks to a now-standard under-bench storage compartment.
The line-up will not include the ZE Hydrogen model Renault unveiled last year.
