The new Porsche 911 Turbo doesn't mess with the formula, but it still looks mean.

The 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo S has been leaked online ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show next month.

First published by Autoblog.nl after appearing on Instagram, the images reveal what we expected: the new 911 Turbo S will run with a mildly reworked front end, have fat air intakes on the rear haunches, and feature a more prominent rear spoiler in place of the standard car's pop-up unit.

The car pictured rides on wheels nicked from the previous 911 Turbo S Exclusive Edition, although it's not clear whether they'll be standard or an option – previous spy photos have revealed a set of multi-spoke wheels similar to those offered on the Panamera could also be offered.

You'll also notice the Turbo S graphics on the base of the doors. Once again, expect them to be optional.

Although the Instagram leak doesn't show much of the rear, previous peeks at the car suggest a more aggressive rear bumper with two fat exhaust pipes is likely to feature.

The 911 Turbo and Turbo S will once again be powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder boxer engine.

There's no word yet on how much power and torque they will have, but expect stronger outputs than the 397kW/660Nm and 427kW/700Nm available respectively in the outgoing Turbo and Turbo S.

All-wheel drive, a dual-clutch transmission, torque vectoring, dynamic engine mounts, and dynamic dampers are all likely inclusions.

A reveal at the Geneva motor show, which kicks off early in March, appears likely.
