2020 Nissan Qashqai pricing and specs: CarPlay, new special edition for compact crossover
Nissan's popular compact crossover has been given a reshuffle for 2020, with more standard equipment and a fresh N-Sport Limited Edition.
Nissan has updated its popular Qashqai SUV for 2020, adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across the range.
Pricing for the Qashqai kicks off $27,990 (+$500) before on-road costs for the base ST manual, and jumps to $29,990 (+$500) before on-roads for the ST CVT.
Standard equipment for the base Qashqai remains unchanged, save for the addition of a new 7.0-inch infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
An electric park brake, 17-inch wheels, push-button start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are all standard fit on the base ST.
Moving to the ST+ (added to the range in May 2019) bumps the price to $31,990 (+$500) before on-road costs, but significantly boosts standard equipment levels.
Along with existing equipment upgrades such as factory navigation, a surround-view camera, and power-folding heated mirrors, the 2020 ST+ gains a full suite of semi-autonomous driver aids.
That means rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, and driver attention monitoring are part of the package.
Moving to the ST-L gets you 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, heated front seats with electric adjustment for the driver, and leather-accented trim throughout. Pricing kicks off at $34,000 (+$710) before on-road costs.
New to the range is the N-Sport, priced from $35,000 before on-roads. Externally, it's separated from the wider range with body-coloured bumpers, side skirts and wheel arches with matte silver trim, silver mirror covers, and a black headlining inside.
It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels in place of the cheaper ST-L's 18-inch units. Just 600 examples will be offered.
Finally, the range-topping Ti costs $38,490 (+$500) before on-road costs. Quilted leather trim, adaptive cruise, lane-keeping assist, LED headlights, a fixed panoramic glass roof, and 19-inch alloy wheels are all standard, along with power adjustment for the passenger seat and dual-zone climate control.
Regardless of spec, power in the 2020 Qashqai comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine outputting 106kW and 200Nm sent exclusively to the front wheels.
